Decatur Families: Help Shape Safer, Cleaner Neighborhoods

The Code Enforcement Academy 2026 is officially open for applications, and Decatur families are encouraged to participate. This five‑session virtual academy teaches residents how to identify and report issues like abandoned homes, illegal dumping, and debris in public spaces.

Sessions run September 10th through November 5th, every other Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM via Zoom.

Why Decatur Should Participate

Decatur thrives when families understand how code enforcement works. Participants learn:

  • How ATL311 processes reports

  • How to advocate for safer, cleaner neighborhoods
